About Me

- Name: J. Bob
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States
I teach 5th grade science and mathematics at Phoenix Country Day School in Paradise Valley, AZ. There is a link to my school below. I have a M.S. in Geology from Idaho State University and have worked as a mudlogger in Wyoming and as a surveyor for the United States Forest Service in Idaho. For the past 23 years I have taught in Idaho, Kuwait, Korea, Myanmar, and Phoenix. My hobbies are rock hounding, reading, and traveling. I enjoy taking my students mineral collecting on the weekend. Our most recent trip was to collect mica near Cleator, AZ. We found huge books of mica in a pegmatite. My wife Dell and I have four daughters and six grandchildren. My favorite vacation was to the Grand Canyon where I rafted the Colorado River from Lee’s Ferry to Diamond Creek. My favorite sport is football and my favorite food is Asian.

Hey Jerry,
Pretty sleak bike you have there! It sounds like you are doing great. What an adventure. Your classroom doesn't quite match up to what you are used to, but after all, rocks are rocks!

Hey Mazz!
It isn't the room that matters, its the rocks and the kids. I will be doing the same labs I did when I worked with you. It should be total chaos. I'll send another photo after the room is (in use). Thanks for the THREE posts!
J. Bob
Dr. write,
The bike was 1950 Y. I'll sell it to you for 1500 Y when I leave in three months.
