    Hey J Bob,

Looks like you've opened your Chinese School of Rock! The blog is great and your students look terrific. Went to the ANDRILL meeting last week and used your nannofossil activity as the sample, since there were two others there who knew you -- LuAnn and a teacher from PCDS! Everywher I go, someone asks, "Do you know J Bob?"

Also looks like you're ready for ocean sediment samples. Let us know and we'll send them over!

    From sunny D.C.,

    Leslie

    Hi Leslie,
I won't need any samples here in china but I am going to meet with Xianghui Li (Sean) of the CHENGDU UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY. He sailed on the Joides Resolution mission that drilled the deep-water carbonate mounds off the coast of Ireland. He is going to talk to me about the results of his study and show me around campus. I brought him posters and a calendar from IODP. Perhaps I can persuade him to come talk to my students.
